Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects and portfolios
  • Establish project objectives and communicate progress
  • Develop short and long term visions for strategic plan
  • Manage scope, resource utilization, and program budget
  • Manage cost and improve governance effectively
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, issues and feedback
  • Manage multiple teams in multiple environments (initiation, planning, monitoring, controlling, deliverable)
  • Design and articulate paths from ‘current state’ to ‘future state’
  • Manage vendor and other business partner relationships
  • Define business requirements during the strategy or business process analysis phases of projects
  • Identify strategic business opportunities and prepare business cases
  • Effectively uses project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Power Point and Visio
  • Conduct monthly program management reviews
  • Develop progress reports and presentations
  • Communicate potential impacts and benefits of recommended technical solutions

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:      

  • Experience with managing multiple, complex projects
  • Experience with using ITIL practices across a program
  • Experience with shared-services provider support
  • Experience with delivering enterprise applications and system upgrades
  • Experience with business change management
  • Experience with customer satisfaction and customer implementations
  • Experience with delivering enterprise applications
  • Requires excellent conceptual, analytical, decision-making and planning skills, and the ability to manage in a highly diversified, changing environment enforcing shared responsibility for outcomes
  • Ability to own and direct complex initiatives in a government contract environment
  • Ability to establish sound relationships with business and functional group members to align objectives, resources and expectations
  • Strong implementation skills and project management track record
  • Proven capability to work closely with stakeholders to control budgets, project delivery, priorities review, and client expectations
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding and the ability to implement formal software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, team development and coaching skills, and leadership skills

                        

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology or related field, MBA a plus
  • 9+ years technical and project management experience, including management of large-scale client engagements and implementations
  • PMP Certified
  • ITIL Certified
