Responsibilities

  • Work directly with first responders, field operators, and warfighters to develop and integrate innovative solutions to meet their mission critical problems. 
  • Provide hands-on software design and development expertise for multiple programming languages and system environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members project sponsors, and government personnel to devise practical solutions to problems.
  • Provide field engineering support at experiments and exercises conducted by project sponsor and partners.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies to ever changing problems.
  • Expertise in principles of object-oriented software design and programming.
  • Knowledge of fundamental IP-based networking principles.
  • 3 years’ experience with .Net using C#, Visual Basic and/or other modern programming languages.
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of Internet Technologies that comprise the OSI Stack Model such as HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP, etc.
  • Experience with Internet technologies such as HTTP, AJAX, REST web services, and related emerging web standards.
  • Knowledge and experience with XML technology such as XSLT, XML Schema, and XML Namespaces.
  • Ability to write and present technical material in the form of proposals, white papers, test plans and reports, technical reports, and presentations.
  • Knowledge and experience with JSON and object serialization.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse team environment consisting of colleagues, project sponsors, government contractors, and first responders or other government personnel.
  • Knowledge of fundamental virtualization principles

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with .NET WebAPI2
  • Experience with mobile application development including Apple iOS and Android OS.
  • Understanding of relational database design technologies such as SQL and mySQL.
  • Experience with embedded HW development and IoT technologies.
  • DevOps tooling such as Chef.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, Route53, S3.
  • Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with UI / front end (JS, HTML, CSS) design and development

Education and Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. ABET accredited institutions and programs preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
