Overview

eMentum is seeking an experienced Technical Engineer/Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical consulting focusing on the client’s SaaS and PaaS platforms and environment. You will work with Agile teams to help support the development, test, and production environments.

 

 

We are looking for a multi-dimensional individual who values quality assurance, customer delivery, and service excellence.  You will work with your Federal clients to provide platform management and to ensure that multiple development teams can successfully share the same environments. Tasks you may be asked to perform include architecture strategy, technical and security standards, management of common objects, user access management, and release management in support of the different environments.

Responsibilities

  • Simultaneously support the development, test, and production Appian and Salesforce environments
  • Anticipate, research, and evaluate architectural enhancements to the client environments
  • Provide support to enterprise-wide platform architectural designs; centralized design review; and support of the most current Appian and Salesforce implementation best practices, features, and functions
  • Design the system for maximum interoperability to ensure flexibility in leveraging the platform for future applications and functionality
  • Design, document, and implement a user rights, permissions, and security model
  • Help design and implement system changes in a manner to support interoperability with future development efforts and in an open architecture manner, allowing for reuse of common objects across modules
  • Provide secure mechanisms to allow data exchange and interaction with external systems through APIs or other methods 
  • Configure and manage an Issue and Requirements Tracker capability for tracking issues and requirements
  • Integrate release planning and requirement refinement with a unified, program-wide and product backlog management process that incorporates Release Management, Change Management and Configuration Management processes.
  • Restrict all network traffic (user permissions) to be accessible only from designated networks

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Appian and Salesforce (PaaS and SaaS) platforms
  • Experience creating and managing JIRA workspaces
  • Ability to create user interfaces and process models
  • Ability to integrate solution with source systems to facilitate data interaction for end users
  • Experience managing availability, latency, scalability, security and efficiency of data access
  • Knowledge of web page layout/design (experienced designing/developing customer-facing websites, not just behind the scenes support) 
  • Knowledge of software development/systems development lifecycle
  • Experience with defining, implementing, and managing application support models for operational systems 
  • Ability to research defects and resolve problems 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and commitment to quality
  • Must be able to work independently

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology or related field.
  • Salesforce architect training and/or certification
  • Appian administrator and/or developer training (Lead Designer certification preferred)
  • 4-6 years as mid, core level developer with Appian and/or Salesforce
  • Experience with technologies that work with Salesforce including: Java, jscript, and Force.com platform, NET, C#
  • Experience in Agile development methodology/Scrum is preferred
  • Experience in the implementation of data exchange between systems in different locations through web services

  • Salesforce administration and/or developer training and/or certification
  • Appian designer training, analyst certification, or designer certification
