    We are seeking a Project Manager to support the Bureau of Fiscal Service-Fiscal Accounting Surety Bonds Regulation Re-write Project. The qualified individual  will support the Fiscal Service organization by providing appropriate project management support to initiate, plan, and control the project and project support activities.

     

    This position is PT of up to twenty (20) hours per week. Work will be performed remotely at the successful candidate's facilities. Travel will be required during peak times (estimate of 2 trips) for work to be performed at the client facilities in Parkersburg, WV. 

     

    US citizenship and successful completion of government background investigation is required.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Define, launch, execute, and close assignment project.
    • Develop and maintain project charter, scope, and initiative definition documentation.
    • Develop and maintain a project schedule
    • Facilitate and document results for project management meetings.
    • Plan and maintain a risk and issues tracking process and documentation.
    • Analyze, plan, and address stakeholder needs and develop appropriate communication mechanisms.
    • Plan and address requirements management needs on the project.
    • Plan and address change management needs on the project.
    • Plan and address governance and control needs on the project.Develop and deliver periodic weekly reports on project progress and issues.
    • Coordinate day-to-day work-based issues, questions and status with designated personnel
    • During peak times or for special meetings, project will be required to physically perform these functions at the Parkersburg, WV facility location.

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Demonstrated experience in project management and all of its industry best practices.
    • Ability to work with executive management and other key players in a work setting.
    • Ability to develop multiple ideas and alternative solutions (issue resolution) to a given business problem or need.
    • Proficient in Outlook – in order to create and update meeting invitations

    Education and/or Experience:

    • BA/BS in related field
    • 10+ years project management experience 
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
